In her current role as Research Associate, Taryn calls upon past experiences inside and outside of higher education. From working as a Marketing & External Affairs Assistant at a local college, to an Online Communications & Social Media Specialist in the auto industry, to working in marketing and PR for an NBA D-League basketball team, Taryn’s experiences have provided a fresh perspective to the various research projects she has been a part of. More than seventeen years experience in higher education admissions, enrollment management and marketing. Most of it spent in-house at various colleges, including Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, prior to joining Paskill Stapleton & Lord. Facilitates focus groups, conducts interviews, crafts research instruments and develops observations and recommendations on the findings. Top staff development trainer. Born and raised in the south, Dana graduated with a BA from Furman University. Wants to take admissions departments out of their imposed silos and bring them better internal recognition.

Joni Miller

30-year marketing professional. Worked extensively in higher education for the past 10 years. Designs local micro marketing plans that drive enrollment and sales. Expertise includes marketing research and geo and demographic analysis and mapping. Brings a depth of knowledge in consumer behavior to the marketing and media process. As the daughter of an Army Colonel, Joni grew up everywhere but now considers herself a Californian. In her spare time, Joni enjoys traveling internationally, gardening and home improvement projects, and spending time with her two funny dogs Spanky and Miles.

A Whitworth College graduate, Carol enjoys fly fishing, blues festivals and working with her 11 year old African Grey Parrot.

Janet Sieff

Almost 30 years experience in higher education marketing, admissions and financial aid. With 15 years on a campus managing the high school recruitment operations and negotiating articulation agreements. Off campus experience includes consulting for college cost affordability, tuition payment plan implementation, online media campaign sales, lead generation, college prep content sales and strategic planning for national branding. Developed a financial aid book for high school students with over 1 million copies distributed. Grew up and resides in Pittsburgh PA. Janet has a BA from Youngstown State University, completed coursework for a MA and has a Diploma in Horticulture.
Chuck Sipos

After graduating from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and living in Europe for a year, Chuck began his advertising career in Detroit, honing his media buying, planning and research skills in traditional media. Once the dot-com era began, Chuck moved west to take part in the boom of digital marketing in San Francisco (and to escape those Great Lakes winters!). With over 16 years of media experience, most of which focus on higher education, Chuck leaves no media “stone” unturned when putting together a plan that best fits a client’s needs. When he’s not negotiating with broadcast stations, optimizing online campaigns or knee-deep in spreadsheets, Chuck can be found camping with friends, entertaining a steady stream of visiting relatives or organizing Euchre tournaments.

Though currently employed at American International College, we are thrilled that Ann decides to spend her summer vacations with PS&L. Ann’s experience over the past 10 years in conducting research, including developing research instruments and data analysis has proven to be a valuable asset. Ann’s faculty experience provides a unique insight into the difficulties many institutions face when implementing marketing strategies. She has seen first hand the importance of internal consensus building as part of an integrated plan. Ann did her undergraduate work at the University of Hartford and earned her Master’s and Ph.D. at the University at Albany, State University of New York.

Leveraging knowledge gained in over thirty years to higher education marketing in past ten years. Disciplined yet not afraid to think outside the box. From international to local advertising. Creating plans, evaluating, negotiating, buying all media - broadcast, print, out-of-home, online. “Proper stewardship of my client’s ad budget is a huge responsibility in today’s complex media landscape.” Helen is a Certified Google Advertising Professional and has taught at Adweek’s professional series. Helen is also a bowling champion and an avid golfer.
Oaken Dog
Office Dog
Oaken Dog is the youngest member of the team. He attended puppy kindergarten at the firehouse in Wyndmoor, PA and graduated with three biscuits. He is applying his considerable energy to keeping the staff in good morale and exercise. No one is sure yet whether John Stapleton or Oaken-dog is master.
